Milestone Moments for the Dampier Sharks

May 3, 2026

The Dampier Sharks Football Club proudly celebrated a special milestone weekend, recognising three significant achievements from players who represent everything our club stands for — commitment, character, and community.

50 Games – Adsy

Reaching 50 games is a meaningful milestone, and Adsy’s journey speaks volumes about dedication and selflessness.

Described as “the sleeping giant”, Adsy’s early days saw him doing the hard work up forward, before finding his calling as a powerful, contested midfielder. His trademark hardness and consistency earned him league-wide respect, including a well‑deserved Best & Fairest at NPFL level.

But it’s what Adsy gives off the field that truly sets him apart. From being Clubman of the Year in his first season, to volunteering, helping juniors, running events, and supporting broader football pathways like the Colts Pilbara Pythons, Adsy has been all‑in from day one.

“An incredible person and an even better teammate. Proud to run out beside you — congrats on 50 games, and plenty more to come.”
Guy Langdon

50 Games – Tans

From arriving at the Sharks midway through 2022 to becoming a driving force both on and off the field, Tans has helped shape something truly special at our club and across the region.

Tans’ journey is one of leadership and legacy — Co‑Captain in 2023, the NPFL’s first female coach in 2024, a Premiership player and coach in 2024, and now preparing to lead as Captain in 2026. Along the way, Tans has proudly represented the NPFL at Country Championships in 2022, 2023, and 2024, before stepping up as Head Coach in 2025 and guiding the team all the way to a Grand Final.

This 50‑game milestone is about far more than games played — it celebrates a leader who continues to lift those around them, grow the women’s game in the Pilbara, and inspire an entire football community.

“So proud of you, Tans. Your impact runs deep. The legacy is real.”
Deb Haskett

200 Games – Hawkey

A truly outstanding achievement, Hawkey’s 200 games in Sharks colours is a milestone built on loyalty, selflessness, and an unwavering commitment to the team and club.

Former league captain and the definition of a team‑first footballer, Hawkey has played just about every role asked of him over the journey — down back, up forward, through the midfield, and even taking on the tough tagging jobs when required. No matter the role, the approach has always been the same: do whatever it takes for the side.

“200 games is one hell of an achievement. You won’t find a more loyal and passionate mate on or off the field — completely selfless and always putting the team first.”
Reece Stewart

Renowned for sacrificing his own game for the greater good, Hawkey’s effort and attitude have never wavered. Off the field, he has been just as influential — the first to arrive, the last to leave, and always setting the standard for what it means to be a Shark.

“You’re a true leader both on and off the field. No job is too hard, and your effort shows your true character.”
James Rhodes

A local product who has grown into one of the club’s most respected leaders, Hawkey’s career is stacked with premierships and accolades, all carried with humility. Beyond the football, he is known as a great clubman, family man, and friend — and, when allowed, the life of the party.

“Selfless, dependable, and always up for the challenge — played everywhere and did it with a smile. Nobody more deserving of a massive milestone.”
Kristian “Dicko” Dicton

Perhaps what means the most to Hawkey is sharing the field with mates he has played alongside for 20+ years, achieving success together and building lifelong friendships along the way. That loyalty, connection, and love for the club defines his legacy.

Congratulations on 200 games, Hawkey — a remarkable achievement and one that speaks volumes about the teammate, leader, and person you are.

Milestone games like these highlight what makes the Dampier Sharks Football Club so special — commitment, connection, and contribution over the long term.

Congratulations to Adsy (50), Tans (50), and Hawkey (200) on these outstanding achievements. Your influence stretches far beyond the scoreboard, and the club is stronger because of you.

Once a Shark, always a Shark. 🦈
