The Dampier Sharks are celebrating a fantastic achievement after a strong Sharks contingent helped the North Pilbara Pythons secure the Division 3 Premiership at the 2026 Men’s Country Championships in Perth.
Held from 10–12 July, the championships brought together some of the best regional football talent from across Western Australia, with the Pythons producing an outstanding tournament performance. The campaign culminated in a memorable Division 3 Grand Final victory over Mortlock, securing the premiership title for the North Pilbara region.

Adding to the celebrations, Ryan Newick received further recognition for his outstanding tournament, earning selection in the Division 3 All Stars Team following his performances across the championships.
